3 reasons why young people no longer take dating seriously

Dating in the current generation is becoming challenging day by day.

As a result, the beauty and seriousness of dating are fading away gradually.

For young people especially, dating has turned out to be more difficult, that some can even date just for a day and it’s over.

This situation has been made worse because young people nowadays prefer dating for monetary benefits than finding real love.

As a result, most of them view dating as a form of investment rather than a way of building something special.

Here are some of the reasons why young people no longer take dating seriously:

1. Presence of ‘sponsors.’

The word sponsor is not something new in the current society.

‘Sponsor’ in the current generation can be described as an older person who is willing to pay some money to a younger person for sexual benefits.

This has ended up blinding the younger generation, that some believe a relationship is all about money.

As a result, relationships are now perceived as a way of investment.

2. Rampant cases of cheating

Another reason why young people no longer value the essence of dating is because of the rampant cases of cheating lately.

Due to this reason, young people no longer take relationships seriously.

3. Lack of maturity

As much as most young people would wish to engage in relationships, some of them are still immature.

This makes it difficult to handle the many issues that come with relationships, hence making it hard for them to commit to serious relationships.
